About Me
Growing up, even during my tomboy years, you could always find me clomping around in a pair of my mother's heels. I even did the impossible and wore a different pair of shoes every day, for an entire month in high school. While my shoes don't define me, they do take me on whatever journey I may be on.
I'm a 30-year-old St. Louis native with a penchant for food and a cult following on Pinterest to prove it. I graduated from Ball State University in May 2013 with a degree in Public Relations and Journalism Education. I took the route that nearly every college graduate (saddled with debt) does and moved back in with mom and dad. After less than a year though, I bought my cozy little condo in Clayton, Mo. where I now live with quite possibly the cutest dog on the block.
I'm an old soul with a love for coffee, stacks of books, candles, and constant trips to HomeGoods. I start every morning with a little help from the girls at She Reads Truth and finish it off with an Olivia Pope inspired glass of red wine.
My Story
BGrobes was created in response to a need for something more, something bigger and something with meaning. I was stuck in a job where my hands were tied to organizational branding and a boss who couldn't see past the template. I was approached with an opportunity that turned into a passion and ultimately, a future. BGrobes was founded in August of 2014 in my teeny tiny condo, and today it's taking me on a journey I never expected to traverse.
I left what some would call the ideal setup: great job, decent benefits, stability, and everything else in between. I took a leap of faith and now run my company full-time from a 641 square-foot condo. As scary as it is to be on my own (and trust me there is a lot of uncertainty), I'm slowly becoming at peace with it. While I wouldn't say no to the right opportunity (hint, hint), I'm excited to walk this path and see what I'm made of. I wanted strategy and now I've got nothing but time for it.
UPDATE: Since June of 2016 I have been a contributing member of the St. Louis workforce. I have spent time at two major health care systems in the St. Louis areas, helping them with their digital platforms. Most recently I have taken on the role as Programming Coordinator at my home church. All of these experiences have allowed me to continue to invest in BGrobes, LLC and provided me with a new set of tools to assist my clients.
